I'm sorry, but I guess I won't be posting about my week of A&F just yet. Well, don't blame it on me. I didn't foresee the problems I was about to encounter anyway.

So here's the situation... Initially, my plan was to head out earlier, probably early afternoon as I will be travelling all the way to the West first to get something from JP. Then, I will head to the town area to do some last minute shopping for school. Yes, just for school. All that, alone. I know that everything will turn out fine but come to think of it, it wouldn't actually hurt asking someone out, isn't it? But I guess not. If I were to really wait it'd seriously take forever. Glad that I actually decided to leave my house earlier and head to the West 'cause my instincts tell me that you wouldn't be meeting me, and I was right! I fucking hate last minute cancellations. When you make plans for something, make sure it actually goes through. I'd never do this. If I make plans, I'm solid. So dear last minute cancelers, fuck you, you selfish scumbags pieces of shit. The world does not revolve around you. No, I'm not mad at you for not meeting me. I'm mad 'cause if you could see that coming, at the very least quickly decide whether you'd still be meeting me or not, and don't keep me waiting like a fool. I was the one who had to make the first move, to keep asking you when the hell are we meeting. Jesus. I really hope this will never happen to me again. I am really thankful that things didn't go worse today 'cause I actually did some shopping all by myself! Went to Abercrombie and Fitch yet again and I spotted the navy sweater that I've gotten few days back, in size XS! I was so excited that went to ask the staff right away about the exchange policy and whatnot. Too excited seeing a smaller size that I actually forgotten to try it on! What a bummer. Gon' head down there tomorrow morning before school with Lynn and have breakfast at McDonald's first before heading to school! I hope the size fits me well though, 'cause I've been waiting to wear it out!

So, I made it through yet another day in the life of a typical teenager, who tends to splurge more often on clothes. It was just another day, another shopping trip, another visit to Abercrombie & Fitch (yet again)... Well, what's new. I can't resist the temptation any longer, I just had to have the A&F navy sweater which I've been eyeing on for more than a week ago, even though there's only one size left and it's two sizes bigger from my size! Bummer, but still. Maybe I'd blame the girl whom I saw earlier on in town. She was wearing that particular sweater and the demon inside me was forcing me to, I swear!

So in that respect, here are some of the Polaroids taken today.

My next post will be about my week of A&F, which was the week before the opening! I know I said that I might update the blog the day after, but then again... Sadly, despite the fact it's the holidays, I still didn't get a chance to get onto here. I still have a lot of things to do, I'm still very busy. I could update, but I'm too far behind. While I can (I finally have the opportunity), I'll try to get what I can updated. There has to be a way I can. Fret not, it will be some time before school reopens! But for now, it's the last day of 2011, here's to making it a good one! X

Reminiscing over glorious youth and solidarity... It brings back memories of good times. The time when I skipped classes to enjoy the summer breeze with friends, the time when I found out the person I was flirting with was also into me and, of course, the time when I came home late after watching my all time favorite rock band!

I'm guessing memories center on ol' friends. Sometimes I wonder what's so wrong with my current life that I need to evoke memories of my distant past. Reunions mean connecting with ol' friends and then creating something more out of that, and I'm glad that I've been reuniting with my ol' friends - talking about one's experiences in order to reflect on and recapture significant events of a lifetime. We all live in the present, yet we still carry our "past" selves with us throughout our lives. We are part of a rich history that needs to be shared and preserved. The stories we tell about our lives are also important sources of self-identity and enable us to explore and relate our past to the present.

Remembering the past can bring a new awareness to the present, I guess. Oh how I wish I could go back to those foolish years! x

It's been more than a week since assessment and we finally got to meet again to celebrate Melissa's belated birthday today (her birthday was yesterday, but she had plans so we celebrated today instead). Only five of us met today 'cause some of them had already gone back to their country while the others couldn't make it, so... Yeah. The day started off by watching Breaking Dawn. I personally think that the movie wasn't that bad. I kinda teared a little at some parts, and I think Yuling saw that. Haha. 'Cause she's not a follower of Twilight so she kept asking either me or Lynn (because she sat in between us) about the movie. We spent our Friday in town, just chilling, camwhoring, and walking around town 'cause we're so free like that. Honestly, it feels kinda weird 'cause whenever we're together, it's either we're doing our school work, or having lunch/dinner together after school - just stuff which are related to school, in a way or another. That's about it. And now, we have no idea of what to do 'cause we need not worry about getting home early and not wasting time. Now that's what's up.

Anyway, I finally had the chance to wear my red sweater out for the first time. I bought it way back in 2008 for my New York trip but I don't know why I preferred wearing the other grey sweater instead at that point of time. Obviously, it was insane wearing a sweater which is made out of 30% Wool 70% Acrylic in Singapore, I don't know what was I even thinking. Without a doubt, the heat was really unbearable but I wore it the whole day without taking it off anyway! Felt a sense of accomplishment right there!

Oh! And by the way, I realized that the sweater is kinda similar to Zayn's, just that his sweater has buttons instead of a zip. Wait a minute... Am I talking about Zayn again? Alright, I guess I should shut up now.

Surprisingly, assessment wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. During break (before it was my turn), Lily told me that she like my skirt. And after assessment, when Donna, Yuling, Rin and I were making our way to the train station, Tom appeared out of nowhere and he talked to us. He said that I've improved a lot. Well, I guess small compliments like these really help. It makes me feel very inspired by what's ahead and drives me every day to reach greater heights and accomplish more!

A Wednesday At School

Had makeup lesson for illustration class this morning. And due to time constraint, all we learnt were mostly illustrations of skirts. Plus, we didn't have time to use the copic markers too. Damn. Shouldn't have brought them if I knew this was coming but thank god my Dad dropped by my school. More of that later on.

Had lunch at McDonald's at Parklane Shopping Mall with Venus, Jesica, Melissa and Eileen. Then we headed back to our campus to do our microscopic test for the fabrics. It took us a really long time to get it done since there were only two microscopes in the class. Bummer. Once I was done with mine, I met my Dad somewhere near my school to pass him my stuff since it was really, really heavy. Headed back to the campus just in time - both Venus and Jesica were done with their work too. Headed to NLB @ Victoria Street with Jesica wanted to use my card to borrow her books. So once we got that done, we got KOI and headed home straight. Slept throughout my bus journey and missed my stop, yet again.

Pattern making makeup class tomorrow. I've got to start on my three skirt designs for Susie's now! x

As promised, here's a blog post of my first three weeks of school. And considering that I haven't been blogging for 2 weeks now.

So basically, my 8 months of holidays has finally came to an end. August was here and therefore, it's time for me to finally come back on track - studying it is! It was like a sudden smack on my face though, well, literally. In a blink of an eye, my "Eat. Sleep. Hangout. Repeat." life ended, just like that.

School is strict when it comes to punctuality. If you were to report in class 10 minutes after the reporting time, you'll be considered late. The fuck? First day of school didn't really started off well. My "supposedly" half an hour bus journey turned out to be an hour instead. Traffic jam + slow bus driver, they just don't click. I was on time though, just that waiting for Miranda (a classmate of mine whom I met during orientation) took quite a while, but we're not late, still. What a relief. All 14 (including my lecturer) pairs of eyes were on us the moment we stepped into class. (And yes, my class are all girls.) School didn't do much justice when it comes to money. My sewing kit costed 163 bucks, textbooks for references are already 350+ bucks, and I bet I've already spent like close to 100+ on other necessities itself. I've yet to get Copic markers for Fashion Illustration class, and this already summed up to about more than a 100+ bucks? Yes, only for like... Say 20 Copic markers? My god. That's not all - printing, paper doll... Everything needs money too.

Come to think of it, next week will be my fourth week of school already, which is the last week for this month! I can't believe I've actually survived school. But it's only three weeks, not three years, YET.

Anyway, it's Friday today and I've no class this week. Woke up around late afternoon but I just can't bring myself to finish up the assignments for research methodology class. I just find it extremely difficult to concentrate and focus. Can't seem to do anything on an empty stomach! Heading over to Drive-Thru McDonald's to meet my Mom, third and fourth sister for dinner! TIME TO TAKE A SHOWA.

I wish I could stop thinking everyone was thinking low of me/looking down at me. I think that that feeling was what drove me for the last few months, but I'm tired of it. I don't want to be driven to be better than everyone at everything and then hate myself whenever I fail just because I think people think badly of me. I used to think low of myself, but I've mostly gotten over it. Confidence is still shaky and I really don't know how to shake it though. I've gotten better, but the thoughts always come back. And sometimes, the only solution is to shrink away from people for fear of being judged, evaluated, or whatnot.

I'm sick and tired of people putting me down 'cause I don't live up to their expectations. You know the ones who have an answer for everything or comeback for anything all the time. Seems like they have an endless number of witty remarks, comebacks and insults for anything. The ones who can debate anyone into the ground and still feel they're fucking right all the time.

I found out that my sister always steals panties, not only from my another sister, but from me as well. It's just so yucky to wear panties used by someone else. Whatever the reason may be, I just don't understand why people would wear panties used by others 'cause that's just nasty (to me at least). Would she be able to get a yeast infection by wearing someone else's panties? I’m just wondering if she could get it from wearing ours, then maybe she'd learn not to steal them. And perhaps to improve her hygiene as well.

The Chocolate Melts probably made me a regular at McDonald's... And to be honest, that's something very unpleasant.

And speaking of Chocolate Melts, yesterday was the last day for the 1-for-1 Chocolate Melts. I was thrilled to finally grabbed them before the offer ends! Was craving for them for days since it was sold out at every McDonald's in Ang Mo Kio. What a bummer.

Headed to a wedding at Sembawang Link. Honestly, I don't know anyone there, no appetite to eat and the limited space there... It just sucked. My family then headed to Singapore Expo. I can't even remember when was the last time I was there but I'm sure it was quite some time ago. Kinda reminisced a little bit though... Oh well.

Dropped by my aunt's for a visit and I caught the most dreamy sunset, ever. It was spectacular.

Why do I push people away? Why am I afraid to get close to people? I seem to push people away or get bored of them easily. Why do I do this?

I'm a private person most of the time. I don't like sharing more information than I need to when I'm talking to people but most of the time, I am anti-social or really shy. I have no problem talking with people. It's just when people get too close to me, I get flustered and I space out. Then I push them away. I grow complacent and I realize that I have completely ignored that person. It turned out I was pushing away everyone and would not let anyone in my life. I think it stems from a fear of connecting with someone emotionally when I know that this can be thrown back in my face. I've had a relatively normal childhood (no scarring abandonment issues or whatnot), actually a pretty good one but for some reason I still push people away. So being this way makes it hard for people to get to know me because they think I'm either shy or really stuck up when they talk to me.

My greatest fear is not being alone but being hurt. I guess I'm just afraid of getting hurt when I let someone get close to me. Letting go of the barriers I build around myself is one of the most prominent issues in my life at the moment.

McDonald's Chocolate Melts

I've had this a few times and wanted to share. Personally, I love the Cinnamon Melts. I don't have it too often (I feel bad just looking at it) but it is delicious. After scoping this out I had to give it a shot. When it's hot, it is amazing. I don't know how to describe it but it's melty/gritty all at the same time. If you've had the Cinnamon Melt then you know the texture except it's chocolate rather than cinnamon. On the flip side, if you wait a little too long to dig in it loses a lot of it's luster. It’s still tasty but nowhere near as good as when it's fresh.

Eating one by yourself will give you guilt but there is more than enough chocolate goodness to share.

If you're a chocolate lover, this is definitely the perfect dessert to finish off your meal. I'm sure you won't regret ordering.

SYF 2011 - Concert Band & Choral Presentation

I almost teared when they started playing because I then realized how much I miss band, especially my section, Percussion that is. Overall, the performance was spectacular. I can imagine myself on stage, enjoying every minute performing eventhough I was part of the audiences, watching and listening.

Cliche, but I am proud to be a part of AMKSS Symphonic Band, also to say one of the top bands in Singapore! ♥
