Back then, you were so young, angelic, dulcet, gullible... You appeared in dozens of television commercials. Your first big break as an actress came in 1996 at the age of ten when you appeared as Ali Fowler in the daytime soap Another World. You then followed this up in 1998 when you stared in the remake of the film The Parent Trap. For your role(s), you won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actress and was nominated for the Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Female Newcomer and the YoungStar Award for Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Comedy Film. In 2003, you were awarded the Teen Choice Award for Choice Breakout Movie Star - Female. You continued to pursue your movie career and starred opposide of Jamie Lee Curtis in Freaky Friday (2003). For this role, you were awarded the MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Female Performance and the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Hissy Fit. You were also nomitated for the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor and the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actress. And because your movie career was doing so well, you moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and initially moved in with the actress Raven after arriving there. You also began to date teen heartthrob Aaron Carter for a few months. However, Carter was still dating Hilary Duff. This was when I got to know that both of my favorite actresses/singers had to say derogatory statements against each other publicly and the feud has continued ever since.
